Dear Armourdale Business Member (Past or Present):

This year 2005 makes the 125th anniversary of Armourdale's incorporation as a city in Kansas in 1880.  Armourdale was a complete city with the biggest and best names of the day: Rock Island, Procter & Gamble, Colgate Palmolive, Swift, Wilson, Cudahy, Katy, Santa Fe and many more.  At its peak, there were 10,000 people living in Armourdale.  We had homes, schools, churches, theaters, a shopping district, numerous small business and retail shops.  Parks were filled with activities, day and night.  Armourdale was a place where people could live, work, swim, worship, shop & play without "going out of town."

The Armourdale Renewal Association is planning a permanent memorial to the proud history and promise of the future that is today's Armourdale, as well as the district's huge role in our metropolitan area.  Your business can be part of it!! A park will be developed on land at #2 Kansas Avenue.  The site was once a streetcar turnaround in front of the Swift Packing House.  It is now owned and leased by Midwest Grain/American Ingredients.  The property has been secured for this permanent recognition.

Here's how you can be part of this commemoration:
21st century to the future.......................$5000.00
Diamond Jubilee Donor.........................$2000.00
Golden Jubilee Donor............................$1000.00
Silver Jubilee Donor................................$500.00
A True Armourdalian..............................$250.00

Golden Jubilee and up ($1000-$5000) will receive 2-4 bricks with imprint and choice of location, Silver and True Armourdalian will receive 2 bricks with imprint.  Logos will be priced separately per order.
